Starboard House - accommodates 10+ in five large family bedrooms. This is a semi-self catering property where we have a full concierge sevice provided by our very own Paul. Paul is available for you and your guests to help organise anything bespoke you may require pre or during your stay. Starboard House is a luxurious 5000 square feet Alpine style private gated luxury villa, on three acres of mature wooded gardens, with Saint Patricks River from Carlingford Mountain running right through the site. The views from every aspect are quite literally breath taking, overlooking Carlingford Lough, The Mourne Mountains and The Cooley Mountains.

Built in 2009 by James Byrne this property is all about enjoying life to the maximum and is absolutely everything you could wish for your special occasion.

At the heart of James villa is a very large kitchen and living area, leading to another separate living room with stunning views over Carlingford lough, a private reading lounge and a very large patio area with outside wood burning stove, awnings and barbeque. There is a formal dining room which opens to another large south facing patio with a second barbeque area. The two reception lobbies are elaborate and spacious There is a private bar and hot tub room leading to a third patio area. There are five very large bedrooms, six bathrooms, toilet, utility room, various cloak rooms and three wood burning stoves in all the main inside living areas.

There are unique photo opportunities to capture those special moments whether it be on the terrace surrounded by the breath taking views of Carlingford Lough or inside amongst the stunning architecture.

Starboard House has been built in an "upside down" style with your living areas all located on the first floor and opening out on to two separate large balconies with un-spoilt panoramic views of Carlingford Lough and The Mourne Mountains to the front and Slieve Foy Mountain to the back.

The large kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would ever need including a large American style fridge-freezer, and eight ring induction cooker, a separate wine fridge and a top of the range Gaggia coffee machine and coffee grinder. As the kitchen is the heart of the home there is also a lowered seating area with a built in wrap-around sofa, open fire and floor to ceiling sliding windows which open up on to a large patio with outdoor wood burning stove, barbeque and a remote control canopy.

Just a step up from the kitchen is your formal dining room complete with a wood burning fireplace and full wrap-around windows opening onto a large south facing patio fully equipped with furniture and bbq so you can dine in style, inside or outside, whilst taking in the breath taking scenery of this European destination of excellence.

You can take a walk down the completely glass walk way which joins the kitchen your own private tower which on the top floor houses a beautiful relaxing reading room and on the ground floor houses your own private bar and hot-tub room with accordion glass doors leading to yet another patio decking area with beautiful flowers and situated right alongside the river with the soothing sound of running water ever present, the views from here are also quite spectacular overlooking Carlingford Lough.

All five bedrooms of Starboard House are large, spacious and airy and boast not only an en-suite bathroom but also a full walk-in dressing room.

Everything about Starboard House exudes luxury and comfort and was built with the sole purpose of bring pleasure to its guests. A new addition to Starboard House is a private footpath which leads you from the house to the new shore line walk way and cycle path which runs from Omeath village right into Carlingford. Built on the old railway line, the walk way takes you right along the beach and into Carlingford village. Not only is the scenery simple beautiful but this now creates a safe walk the whole way into Carlingford right from your front door.
